Ralph DiMatteo (66), the family's alleged consigliere, surrendered himself to the FBI agents on Manhattan, The New York Post reports.

DiMatteo, the third most powerful member of the family, is shown on the photo enjoying himself in Florida, in a swimming pool, up to his waist in bright turquoise water, wearing a golden crucifix around his neck.

The aging mobster had gone to Florida a day before the federal police arrested 13 people accused of racketeering and extortion.

His photo appeared on "Twitter" after the judge had ordered the other leaders of the Colombo crime family included in the federal indictment held without bail. This refers to the crime family's boss Andrew "Mush" Russo (87), the under boss Benjamin "The Claw" Castellazzo (83), Theodore Persico Jr., Richard Ferrara, and Vincent Ricciardo.

The photo that made DiMatteo surrender to federal authorities was removed from "Twitter" in the meantime. Nobody knows when or where it went.

The New York Post indicates that DiMatteo might not be able to return to the Sunshine State for a long while - the prosecution wants to keep him in custody withot the possibility of bail.

DiMatteo's lawyer Matthew Mari has not yet issued any comments on the case, Srbija danas reports.
