PEŠIĆ SETS SERBIAN FANS ABLAZE: I will explain to Jokić why he should play for the Serbian national team!

Pešić made another joke, and he revealed whether he had to "charm Jokić".

- I received a great car from the Basketball Federation of Serbia, however, I think that I can only use it in Serbia and in the neighbouring countries - Pešić said.

- I certainly have my plans not only for Jokić, but also for the remaining national team candidates. What we have in mind now is to see what we can do during the qualifications preparations. We would need to act immediately, so that we can have as much time as possible to get ready. After this is done, we would have a lot more time at our disposal.

He also explained the way in which he would approach this situation and he also had a clear message for his potential players.

- There were some provocations that I was trying to charm Jokić. Not only will I try to charm Jokić, I will try to do this with every player, I will try to explain to them just how important playing for the national team is for their careers. I will visit my players, as I do not have training sessions every day, I will arrange a combination of training with them and visiting them. In a way, I will be their head coach and their mentor.  I will visit my players, talk to them, watch their matches.  As a part of my communication approach, I will try not to tell them how important playing for the national team is for them, but rather to help them become better, to evaluate their game and to tell them what needs fixing. To create mutual empathy, so that they would know that I am here to help them. This is a just a part of my job - Pešić concludes.
