Uglješa Grgur, a private detective, explained that the fact that the investigation in the case of Matej Periš has been completed does not mean that the search for him will be stopped.
- That is information from the father of the young man from Split. This means that the prosecution has collected enough details to complete the investigation. Criminal proceedings should be instituted within 15 days, or if there is none of that, the investigation is completed and no criminal proceedings are initiated. It will take a few more days to see if an indictment can be filed, but I have a personal opinion that the investigation is over, because there are no elements of a crime. That doesn't mean the end of the search. The search may be expanded if some new information is obtained - the private detective pointed out.
He added that he was almost certain that the body of the young man was in Sava.
- From the first moment, I had the attitude that the body of Matej Periš is in the Sava, unfortunately, and I am convinced that it is so. The police did it all professionally and I think that there will be no initiation of any criminal proceedings, and the body of the young man will, I hope, emerge and be found. The police and the river police will search for the body of the young man from Split, because all the circumstances indicate that his story does not have a happy ending - Grgur said.
