On Thursday, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev will have the opportunity to secure the first place on the ATP list with a triumph over the Polish tennis player Hubert Hurkacz.

The Russian ace needs a place in the semifinals of the tournament in Florida in order to leave the current world number one, Novak Djoković, behind. 

- I do not feel pressure, but an additional motive. That is a great goal that I want to achieve. I knew even before the start of the tournament that I would need the semifinals to return to the top. Now I have a good chance, there is only one more match left. There is no pressure. However, it may appear during the match, depending on the result - Medvedev announced.
