Veljko Belivuk, better known as Velja Nevolja (Velja the Troublemaker) the leader of a notorious clan charged with brutal murders, violence, kidnappings and other crimes, left everyone speechless at the hearing held at the Special Department of the Higher Court in Belgrade for Organised Crime.
As portal Republika finds out, after he took the stand and got the opportunity to speak, Belivuk asked to be taken back to custody.
As our source explains, Nevolja explained his request, claiming that he was not feeling well.
- Belivuk's wish was granted and he was returned to his cell - our source says.
As he explains, a further decision of the president of the court panel is awaited, whether the preparatory hearing will be continued.
As a reminder, according to what Republika had previously written, Nevolja's gang partner Marko Miljković, better known as Mesar (the Butcher), asked for the trial to be postponed.
The lawyer of the accused Filip Ivanovski Fila, Miljana Perendija, gave details from the trial and pointed out that he stated that he was in negotiations with a lawyer.
Miljković was assigned lawyer Milenko Cvijović ex officio, and today his deputy came and asked for a postponement of at least 60 days, as he needs this much time to prepare his defence.
