Nebojša Joksović, a cooperating witness in the case against Darko Šarić, was questioned today at the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime. The hearing was attended by Darko Šarić, the arrested lawyer Dejan Lazarević and Uroš Radovanović (Mišić).
Nebojša Joksović, a cooperating witness in the proceedings against Darko Šarić and other defendants accused of smuggling 5.7 tons of cocaine, was questioned today at the Prosecutor 's Office for Organized Crime as a witness in the investigation launched against Šarić and his associates, due to the suspicion that they planned his liquidation.
- He said that he had no knowledge that someone was preparing his murder and that he learned about it from the media - says a source for the media.
- He stated that he is not in conflict with the defendants, that he was not joining the criminal prosecution and that he would not emphasise the property-legal claim - he adds.
The hearing was attended by Darko Šarić, the arrested lawyer Dejan Lazarević and Uroš Radovanović (Mišić).
As a reminder, Joksović is a school friend of Darko Šarić who, after his arrest in the operation "Balkan Warrior", launched in 2009, decided to become a cooperating witness. He was then released from custody and transferred to a secret location, where he was guarded by the police.
In April, the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime arrested Darko Šarić, lawyer Dejan Lazarević, Bojan Stanojković, Danilo Odović, Stefan Andrejić, Milan Vučinić and Uroš Radovanović on suspicion of planning to kill Joksović at the Drina Regatta.
In addition, according to the investigation order, the suspects planned to discredit Joksović as a cooperating witness by placing a bomb under Goran Nikolašević's car, blaming him for it and turning the investigation in that direction, Objektiv reports.
