This is what we were afraid of.
The best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djoković, will not be able to play at the Masters in Montreal, in Canada, if he is not vaccinated against COVID-19, the "Tennis World Italy" website reported.
This site reminds that in the last few weeks there has been an increase in the number of newly infected people in Europe and North America.
Due to the upcoming Masters in Montreal, the Canadian government has announced that it will introduce random rapid COVID-19 tests at airports. All persons arriving on Canadian territory by plane would be tested. Those who test positive will be sent to isolation, which will last 10 days.
The Canadian government has warned tennis players to get tested before entering the country to avoid unpleasant situations.

It states that there will be no exceptions for entry into Canada and the US and that only vaccinated foreign nationals will be able to enter the territory of these two countries.
The website "Tennis World Italy" points out that it will be simply impossible for Djoković to play in tournaments in the USA and Canada, since he has repeatedly said that he has no intention of getting vaccinated.
The Montreal Masters is scheduled to take place from 5 to 14 August, followed by the US Open, which will be held from 29 August to 11 September.
