The runner-up is a man from Nikšić, Nikola Bošković, who was gentleman enough to stand up five minutes before her, and his fellow citizen, Marko Vučković, two hours earlier, reports Vijesti.

So, Dubravka Aleksić stood up after having spent 117 hours lying down.

- It was really difficult, especially since 3 o’clock last night, when heavy rain started. It was cold although we covered ourselves with extra blankets and rugs. So we got bored and it was very hard to be lying down but we were calling on the rain so it could be the judge, an so it happened. If it hadn’t been for the rain, we would still be lying down - Dubravka said for Vijesti, after having won.

She is coming back to Podgorica, as she promised to her girl colleagues, with a prize of €300, because the organizers, the brothers Blagojević, decided to add extra €50 to the original sum.

I will not use money very usefully, but I will spend it with my friends and I will buy something for myself to remind me of this competition, admitted Duda and added that she woul d never again apply for the competition because she realized it was not easy at all to be lying down, and tzha she would spend less time in the future lying in.

Nikola and Marko got a weekend in ethno village as a consolation prize, and the will be able to get to know the village better as well as visit the maple tree under which they spent six days lying down.

Nikola and Marko revealed the secret that they had suggested much earlier to Duda that all of them should get up together at the same time and split the prize, but the stubborn lady from Podgorica decided to stick to the end and be the only winner of the unique competition in Europe which took place in the ethno village ‘Montenegro’ in Brezni, in Piva, for the fifth time in a row.

Dubravka Aleksić and Nikola Bošković say that they got bored by lying down.

The runner up, Nikola Bošković , said that he still claims men can lie down longer than women, but he wanted to keep being healthy and be a gentleman.

- When you are lying in a paddle, everything you are wearing gets wet, ant it is better to keep your good health and be a gentleman and let a woman win. Duda told me during the first day, when I suggested that all three of us get up together and split the prize, that she was determined to stick to the end, to the victory, said Nikola.

- Everything started becoming wet, the blankets, the clothes, and I realized that there was no point in continuing because the health is more important than the competition - said Marko.

Although he and the rest of the competitors had only words of praise for the owners and the staff of ethno village ‘Montenegro’, he admits that he would not compete again, and he will also try to avoid the bed in the future and be more active.
