The legendary basketball player, Oscar Robertson, declared that Nikola Jokić was not the real MVP of the League and that it should have been Russell Westbrook.

The man who, along Kareem Abdul Jabbar was the carrier of the Milwaukee Bucks on the road to the first title in the history of the franchise and the first player that averagely noted triple double in a season, points out that the MVP award should have gone to the hands of Russell Westbrook.
Robertson was a guest on Knuckleheads podcast with Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson, defending new LA Lakers player, who scored the fourth triple double in his career in Washington Wizards Team:
Russell Westbrook has repeated triple double average in the season and I think he deserved to be the MVP. It was not fair to him and he should have been the most valuable player- said ‘The Big O’.
Just for comparison, during the play in, the Wizards entered the East playoffs in the season in which Westbrook scored 22.2 points, 11.5 assistances and 11.7 rebounds. On the other hand, Jokić scored for Denver 26.4 points, with 10.8 rebounds and 8.3 assistances.
