Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić declared that the Serbian side accepted the suggested compromise for the de-escalation of the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

- Personally, I am very satisfied, as this is very important for our side. Both sides have agreed that ROSU special forces are to retreat from Jarinje and Brnjak. This will be followed by the removal of the roadblocks on 2 October and the retreat is set to end by 4 P.M. at the latest on that very day - Vučić said and added:
- KFOR will distrubute their special forces the same way they did before the implementation of administrative border crossings at Jarinje and Brnjak and they will remain there for about two weeks. As of 4 October the sticker regime will be implemented, a regime of stickers as a temporary measure until a permanent solution is agreed, which we are due to discuss in Brussels. A working group consisting of the representatives of the EU, Belgrade and Pristina, and chaired by the EU, will be established to find a permanent solution to the licence plate issue based on the EU standars and practices. The first meeting of the working group will be held on 21 October in Brussels - Vučić said after agreement.
