- Yesterday, a detailed, constructive and friendly conversation was held with President Aleksandar Vučić . For our Serbian friends, the main issue was the extension of the current gas contract for half a year. It has a fixed formula for calculating the price. We know that in long-term contracts, the formation of the price follows a formula based on the price of oil and oil derivatives, and of course, it is essentially different from the way of forming the price on the spot markets - Peskov stated. 

He added that in the next six months, Serbia will receive gas at an extremely favourable price for natural gas, which will enable it to overcome the winter period.

- And during that time, economic entities will peacefully and constructively, as the President said yesterday, agree on the continuation of the contract - said Peskov.

He added that the Russian President accepted the invitation to visit Serbia next year and that the time of the visit would be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
