SCANDALOUS DECISION OF THE MONTENEGRIN POLICE ACADEMY: Participants who celebrated the victory of Serbia and sang songs about Kosovo will be sanctioned!

This is stated in the statement signed by the acting director of the Academy, Svetozar Knežević.

" On the occasion of the events at the Police Academy and the video published on some portals, we need to inform the public that the Police Academy has taken measures and actions within its competence, in order to shed light on events and sanction the perpetrators. We wish to inform the public and the people of Montenegro that we strongly condemn the behavior of the students of the Police Academy after the handball match between Montenegro and Serbia", the statement reads, Vijesti reports. 

It is added that the leadership of the Academy, immediately after learning of the event, identified the perpetrators of the incident and initiated procedures to sanction them.

" Several meetings were held with the students of the Police Academy, and everyone was clearly told that great damage was done to the reputation of the Police Academy and the state of Montenegro. As a matter of urgency, a session of the Teachers' Council of the Police Academy was held, which took a united and clear position to condemn the mentioned event and to adequately sanction the students in accordance with the Rules of Procedure.The final decision on punishing the perpetrators of the incident will be made by the Teachers' Council next week, after gathering all the necessary information. On this occasion, the Police Academy wishes to apologise to the general public, and especially to our "lionesses" who have brought us a lot of happiness and joy countless times and with their sacrifice and commitment were a role model to younger generations, as well as to our academics, fighting for the coat of arms and jersey of Montenegro", the statement reads.
