A five-year-old girl who was kidnapped and raped by a stranger was allegedly killed by her parents, carrying out the so-called "honour killing".

The body of the unfortunate child was found in a garbage container Manbij, north Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said security forces had arrested several members of the girl's family, including parents who denied killing their child.
The girl was kidnapped by an unknown rapist on a motorcycle while she was going to help her father in the orchard. After the search, the girl was found on the road between the two villages, Daily Mail reports.

"Honor killings" are a common occurrence in Syria. Last July, an 18-year-old girl was killed by her father, brother and her tribe because she tried to run away with her lover and because she refused to marry a cousin.
Before being shot in an empty hut, the girl had been beaten and starved for days.
Shortly after her murder, a video of a 16-year-old girl who was killed by her father because she was raped by a relative appeared on social media.
