COMPLETE CHAOS BECAUSE OF NOVAK: Australian Open TARNISHED for all times!
Croatian tennis player Marin Čilić strongly condemned the actions of the Australians towards Novak Djoković!
The Croat said that "Djoković is not just anyone", as well as that his deportation threw a "permanent stain" on the Australian Open.
- The way in which everything happened is inadmissible: for a man to go to Australia and go through that whole accident. Everything had to be resolved before he left for Melbourne or better yet when he got there. Novak is not just anyone. He is a big name, one of the biggest ones in tennis in the last 10 or 15 years - said Čilić, who continued in the same breath.
- To treat Djoković in such a way is really catastrophic. Not only for him but for the whole tennis, as well as for the image of Australia and the Australian Open. We will see what the rest of the season will bring us and what the rules will be for other tournaments. Each country has its own regulations, but it is certain that the beginning of the season, as far as tennis is concerned, was not the brightest - concluded the 33-year-old Croat.
As a reminder, Čilić had a solid performance in Melbourne, where he was eliminated in the 4th round by Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime, who defeated him 3:1, after a turn of events.
