Serbian tennis player Novak Djoković will miss the US Open?! After winning the seventh title at Wimbledon, the Serb once again confirmed that he does not plan to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and that he will most likely not be allowed to enter the USA, as an unvaccinated person.

- I'm not vaccinated and I'm not planning to get vaccinated so the only good news I can have is them removing the mandated green vaccine card or whatever you call it to enter United States or exemption - Djoković said, and then added:

- I don't know. I don't think exemption is realistically possible. If that is possibility, I don't know what exemption would be about - the winner of 21 Grand Slam titles highlighted.

The Serbian ace also said that he will take a break for a few weeks, after the difficult tournament on the London grass, and that he was "unsure" when he would next be able to play a competitive match.

As a reminder, Novak's participation at the Australian Open in early 2023 is also under question, since the Belgrade native was deported from Melbourne in January, also due to vaccination, along with a three-year ban on entering the mainland of the smallest continent.
