HE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, BUT HE HAS ANTIBODIES: While Novak is being deported healthy, he is allowed to play even though he is INFECTED!
A new Coronavirus scandal has shaken the world of sports! This time, it happened at the European Handball Championship, after it became known that the member of the French national team, Nikola Karabatić, played a match, despite testing positive for COVID-19.
Namely, Karabatic tested positive for COVID-19 after the duel with the Netherlands, but against all the rules he still ended up playing the match against Iceland. The Blues ended up being defeated in the 2nd round of the second phase of the continental championship.
As a reminder, the rules state that a handball player who tests positive COVID-19 must miss the next match of the European Championship, which Karabatić did not do.
On the occasion of the "Karabatić case", the European Handball Federation also spoke out with an explanation that many characterised as tendentious.
- It is true that Nikola Karabatić tested positive for COVID-19 after the match against the Netherlands. Our medical experts reviewed his medical history because of his previous Coronavirus infection. Based on the antibodies, we estimated that he would be allowed to play - the EHF announcement states.
The French will played a key match with Montenegro on 24 January at 20:30, and the situation with Karabatić once again shed light on the extent of Australian injustice towards the best tennis player in the world, Novak Djoković, since they deported him from their country while healthy.
