The Croats paid tribute to Novak at the tennis complex he built in Dorćol, but they also remembered the interviews they gave at Wimbledon, when the best tennis player in the world "fell into the frame":
- Everything is very well organised. I mean, it's something that would be normal with us, and it's not. That interview was great, we love Nole a lot. I don't think it would be the same if we ran into him in an interview. I'm glad for that. There was some promise then. We are getting closer and that is great - said Mektić in the podcast Wish & Go.
The Croats revealed that they are with Novak's organisation PTPA and that they do not have a good opinion of ATP.
- We are absolutely with Novak. I know much less than Novak. ATP is simply an organisation that is a puppet of large corporations. They only promote top players. I doubt it will change. I am always behind Novak, behind everyone who wants to make a change - the Croatian tennis players concluded.
