At the session of the Assembly at which the Resolution in Support of Ukrainian People was adopted, Kurti said that if the world does not respond carefully to Russia's attack on Ukraine, everyone's future will be at stake.

He announced that, in accordance with the new circumstances, Kosovo's accession to the European Union, the Council of Europe and other international mechanisms will be accelerated.

- We are against all things that can bring loss of life. The Ukrainians did not ask for this fight, but if they stop fighting, they will disappear. We are peaceful and free people, that is why we recognise ourselves in their heroism. We know very well the price of freedom. If the world does not act united, the future of each of us is at stake - Albin Kurti said. 

Kurti adds that it has been a long time since the alarm was raised because of an aggressive neighbour who did not repent for the crimes committed.

He reiterated that because of all that, they established a Security Fund and called on all citizens to give their contribution as much as they can.

- We call on five EU countries to recognise this reality by urgently recognising Kosovo's independence. Kosovo's independence is an example that takes into account the centuries-old injustice and genocide of Serbia against our people - Kurti said.
